Welcome to Atlas Companies — formerly Smart Homes 605! We are Vinny and April McCormick, and we're thrilled to share a bit about who we are and what we do. First and foremost, we're a family – including Harrington, whom we rescued over a year ago from B Squad Rescue in Sioux Falls.

As our work has grown beyond any one kind of home, we wanted a name that reflects what we've become: a company built on a strong foundation, ready to carry every project from the ground up. That's Atlas Companies. Same family, same values, same hands-on commitment — just a name that fits where we're headed.

April brings her expertise in real estate to the table, holding a license with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Midwest Realty. She not only lends her keen eye for design to Atlas Companies but also manages her real estate business, providing comprehensive support to her real estate clients.

Vinny provides a strong balance of organization and budgeting. He's always just an email or call away for his clients, understanding the importance of communication during the home building process. With his guidance, we ensure that every project stays on track and within budget.

Meet Micheal Beaver Jr.
Director of Operations
Raised in the South with a passion for speed, I spent 12 years immersed in the world of NASCAR before finding my calling in construction leadership. My journey began with uncertainty after moving here to start a family, but through various jobs and challenges, I discovered my true path alongside Vin, and we've been a dynamic duo ever since.

Family is everything to me – I have a loving wife, two boys, and a daughter who are my entire world. When I'm not overseeing projects, you can find me enjoying the great outdoors with my family along the Missouri River, camping and seeking adventure.

Each day starts with a meticulous check on all our jobsites, ensuring that operations run smoothly and deadlines are not just met, but exceeded. From inception to completion, I'm hands-on, interacting with every individual who contributes to a SmartHomes project. My dedication knows no bounds as I pour my heart and soul into every task.

My aim is not only to lead by example but to provide homeowners with an unparalleled experience they never thought possible. What makes my job truly rewarding is the people I work with – we're more than just colleagues; we're a close-knit family. Beyond the blueprints, we build personal connections and foster open communication, making work not just productive but enjoyable.
